shower liner test

I think I just got ahead of myself. I have 2 questions - I hung (and taped) my 1/2 inch Hardiebacker in my shower before doing a flood test. Can I still perform the leak test on my liner if I waterproof my Hardiebacker board? (which I plan on doing anyway before tiling) And what's the best way to plug the Oatey 3-piece drain with weep holes?

You need an inflatable plug---go to any plumbing supply house--(call first)

You are fine testing at this stage in the work---

Here is a video of a flood test by one of our members. How to drain a shower flood test using an inflatable test plug. - YouTube
