shower leak

I have a Kohler Single Control Shower Valve K-15102. I have replaced the GP71969 Valve Mixer Kit, and the GP500520 PBU service part kit to stop the shower head from dripping. Now water leaks badly from the 4 screws that hold the Valve Mixer and assembly to the body. I have tried every possible combination to the assembly. Kohler=.

Assuming the parts are correct my first guess would be you are missing an O-ring or gasket of some sort between the parts. Or could be the O-ring is not seated in the part correctly.

that was my first impression. All new o-rings and have tried various positions of rings, no luck. Planning a call to Kohler in morning.

Here is the exploded diagram. Looks like there should be 2 O-rings after the PBU. Looks like 1 would be included with the the valve repair kit, but the other (42043) should be reused with the body. Maybe it fell out when taking it apart and thought it was from something else. I know I've done that before. Hope this link works....
