Shower Leak

:help: In the middle of a bath remodel. Had everything down to the studs. Had contractor com in and complete plumbing and electrical. All the walls are back up and I am ready to tile I noticed water on the floor. Water is leaking from the bottom of the drywall on the back of the shower. On the other side of this drywall is the shower plumbing. This wall has been up for a month and just started showing signs of a leak. What would cause a leak when we are not using any water in the bathroom at all. The toilet is not in yet and the shower has not been tiled yet. Could it be that the pressure built up in the shower pipe and that is why it is just now leaking? Help

The shower faucet body must be leaking at connections. Have your contractor come back in and correct the leak and all damages, including the drywall, at his expense.
Good Luck!
Mike

Did you put a fastener in one of the pipes by mistake?

just curious, is there a problem with putting a fastener in the line?
