shower flashing
A shower over a tub? You need to provide us with much more information about the install. Pictures are worth a thousand words.
Flashing is an odd word for showers but there certainly is the need for a waterproof membrane on the floor and its transition to the walls. How that is done varies greatly. |

shower flashing
flashing is a waterproof material used to direct water so that it does not penetrate into the wall (in this case) What is the walls above the tub covered with? You need a waterproof wall and it needs to lap over the tub edge (flashed) This is what he wants.
