i think i know why 2 inch drain lines for showers

and yes this still drains, no issues with it just looks nasty. so how to easly clean it up?

There's no cleaning that one it's all got to come out.
Looks like someone used a plated drain then used acid to try and clean it.

how long do you think it will last, i do plan on redoing this shower and bath room but not for a while

to replace it am going to have to cut the slab and dig, and tear up i am not sure how much carpet.
