shower doors

I have a 48" shower that I am considering replacing the doors. I would like to have a shower curtain instead of the doors. Is this even possible? My threshold sticks up approx. 2 and a half inches above the shower floor. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

hi and welcome to the forum!
i see no reason why not.
there are wall/ceiling mounted curved and circular rods made just for this purpose.
example shown below.
