Shower door shattering

Just want to know if anyone else heard of something like this happening. I was asleep and at 2:45 in the morning I heard a loud bang that woke me up. When I walked around to find out what it was I went into my bathroom and a whole panel of my shower door shattered. I live by myself and I was sleep so I obviously didn't do anything to make it shatter like slam the glass or use extremely hot water in a cold house. It just shattered out of no where and the door is only about 6-8 weeks old. Anyone else heard of this happening?

Shower door shattering

Yup, likely a flawed glass or a frame that had the glass in a bind. That should carry a warranty if it is only two months old. You may even get the door manufacturer to cover the installation but that's kinda iffy.

Who installed the unit two months ago?

Those things really "pop" when they go.
