shower caulking

We have well water and the caulking towards the bottom of our shower door is black. Is it best to remove the caulk completely or is there anything that I can use to remove this black mold? If re-caulking is best what kind should I get?

New will not stick to old, it's all got to go.
The area needs to be cleaned to kill the mold and perfectly dry.
It's best to fill the tub 1/2 way up before caulking the weight it.
Use silicone caulking with a mildicide in it. Should say for bath and kitchen right on it.
Wait 24 hours before draining the tub.
If this is a tiled wall better check for loose tiles and missing grout.
Grout also needs to be sealed, it's not water proof until sealed.

This is a shower stall not a bathtub.
