Shower base problem
try searching for this but no luck, im installing a new base in my bathroom in the basement.

when i test fitted my new base i noticed the drainpipe is not centered under the hole in the base, it seems to be about a inch or two off centered toward the back section of the wall. the concrete is cut out around the drainpipe so im not sure what to do, i was going to fill the hole a little with concrete since the left a 1'x1' hole in the groung for stability. what do i need to do to get the pipe centered on my base? whats wierd is that the old shower base was a there fine and never leaked so whats the problem??? any help would be appreciated

If the concrete is cut out in that area large enough, why not adjust the drain pipe so it would be centered under the hole in the base? It will require some plumbing work on the pipes but can we assume that the trap is right there for the shower also? :whistling2:

Aw c'mon Greg,
It's only plastic. Clear out the gravel around the pipe. It might even move without cutting anything if you clear some space around it. Worse comes to worse, a couple of cuts, a fitting or two and some glue, back in business. Just remember, you have to control the plumbing, don't let the plumbing control you.
