shower base

ripped out my bath and installing a shower cubicle and retiling over the tiles that are there.the wall where the bath was is bare plaster so i put another row of old tiles down and across the next corner where the cubicle will sit {corner unit curved }.now i placed the shower tray there and it is the type on legs so i could get a fall for the waste, the tray sits against the plaster board wall with maybe half an inch gap upto the old tiles,.this is what i am asking about ,when i put another bed of tiles over the old ones they will protrude over the tray too much to fit the shower enclosure ,as an example the arc of the shower enclosure could be 1000mm but will two beds of tiles close that gap by maybe 10 mm or is there a tolerance that the enclosure can move to,hope anyone can understand this without a drawing any help appreciated:confused1:
