Should we install a sump pump?

Buster1 Newbie   Join Date: Oct 2011 Posts: 1	Should we install a sump pump? ­­We purchased a 1930-40’s home with basement leakage problem. The problem is caused from improper sloping of the driveway and we are preparing to tear out and pour a new concrete drive. We have temporarily fixed the problem using a self leveling concrete sealant. The home does not have a sump pump. We have no idea as to whether there is drainage tile around the foundation. We have a perfect spot for an outdoor sump pump but it has to be installed before the new driveway is poured. Is it worth the time and money to dig down and install the pump before the drive is installed? We have no intention of digging up around the entire home to install drainage tile.
