I installed a MasterBath brand sink. It is a molded sink with an extension added to the drain to accommodate the sink overflow hose. This extension makes the distance that the drain stopper needs to go to the pivot rod about a 1/2 inch longer. How can I extend the drain stop?
Since the overflow drain is not molded into the sink they used a hose that connects to an 1 1/2 inch extension on the bottom of the sink. This doesn''t allow you to tighten the drain as much as usual an leaves the rod lower. Therefore, the drain stop doesn't reach the rod. The bottom of the stopper will touch the rod but it is not long enough for the rod to fit into the stopper ring.
