sewer gas odor after replacing tub drain

Bathtub drainpipe collapsed under slab--old problem recently discovered. New P-trap installed and new drain line installed just above collapsed pipe and tapped into main drain just before exterior cleanout. Sewer gas odor now. Where do we look?

Is there standing water in the new trap?
