Question

Sewer Cleanout Extension?

I have a tricky situation that I haven't been able to gain clarity on so I figured I would poll the collective minds of this forum for some support.

I have a Sewer Clean-out in my basement that is recessed about 3" below the cement slab (inside of a 5" diameter hole). I am finishing this space and putting in laminate flooring over a plywood subfloor, but I obviously need to retain access to the clean-out.

What I am looking to do is find an adaptor that has a male threaded end that can extend the clean-out up to flush with the flooring and then finish it off with a flat brass cap. To do this, I assume the fitting/coupling would need to have a threaded female end opposite the threaded male end that goes into the existing clean-out. I cant seem to find such an animal.. and I going about this the wrong way?

Thanks in advance for your support!

They make adapters to glue joints. You may need to just need to solvent weld 2 adapters together.

Any way you could include a pic of what you are referring to?

a male adapter to screw into the existing c/o and a fitting/spigot female adapter for your brass cap should work. cant tell you how high it will bring you but that will raise it.

these are 3 inch but they make them in 4 inch also. you might have to go to a plumbing supply
