Sewage pump for home

I'm looking into buying my first home, but the property sits lower than the city sewer system. There is a pit outside that houses a pump to send it to the city sewer system but I was wondering if I'm just asking for trouble if I buy the place? Even if I get the right equipment and have it professionally installed?

whenever you have to rely on a system such as this, you always should set up a back-up power source in case you loose initial power. I would also have to have a back-up pumping system in case of equipment failure, because a fault or breakdown of such a facility could be more than just a little inconvenient

Sewage pump for home

A town to the north of me is littered with these micro lift stations and when they lost power due to the hurricanes it was a major concern.
For me, it would be a deciding factor on a home purchase.
