I want to put a bathroom in basement as I am finishing everything. the sanitary pipe out of house is higher hten the finished floor.. Is it often people use sewage pumps for basement bathrooms?

Sewage Pump

All modern homes in this area have the lateral drains higher than the floor---so sewage pits for the basement are always required-----you will need one for your new work---

Sewage Pump

2inch pipe needs 1/4 inch to the foot, 3 inch can have 1/8 per foot. a sump pit is not a sewage pit. You need one of these:

Sewage Pump

The sump pit is already in use to drain the foundation drain tiles---don't even think of putting sewage into that---
