septic pump issues

I believe my septic/sewage pump suction pipe has a leak in it as the pump does not stay primed for the discharge to go to the disposal field. How do I know or find out if this is the case and how do I fix this leak? All the the piping is under concrete and I hope I don't have to dig it all up.

check the check valve. make sure it's fully closing, then drill a 1/8" hole in the pipe between the pump and check valve. This will prevent the pump from becoming air locked.
