S-Trap to horizontal drain
I just had a new kitchen sink installed and the drain in the sink basin is offset to the left of the drain line coming out of the wall. The drain line coming out of the wall comes out horizontally for about 12 to 16 inches, then there is an s-trap to the sink drain tail piece. So far this setup seems to be working, but are there any issues (code, or potential syphoning). I know that syphoning can occur when an s-trap goes into a vertical drain, but does that still occur if it drains into a horizontal line?
