Rusty Water

Good evening. We have an older home and a bathtub and a couple sinks that are not frequently used. When we go to turn the water on - out comes rusty colored water. Anyway to stop this without replacing the pipes?

I suspect you have galvanized water lines?

They will make the water like that if they sit for awhile unused.
