rusty restoration ; Peerless boiler and Honeywell 8124 controller,

Have a rusted Peerless boiler WBV-03, a Riello burner ( which I just put on and got working ) , a rusted Honeywell 8124 controller, and a Taco 007 circulating pump.

When I give the 8124 power the burner starts in seconds, but the pump never comes on. What is the logic in the Honeywell about turning on the pump ? How to check if the relay is bad or not ?
It’s 80 degrees in the house with the windows open ; (though it will be snowing soon enough) how to run logic checks of the system and the thermostat ?
When I give power directly to the pump it runs ( or at least I feel it moving and I hear a “gurgling” )

(not my rust, BTW; trying to save an old house)

The Honeywell L8124 series is a dual acting aquastat with burner relay. The TT terminals will call the burner and circulator relays. circulators are wired to C1 and C2 and the burner is wired to B1 and B2 ( C2 and B2 are both neutrals) When the B1 relay is pulled in it sends 110V to its B1 terminal and from there, down to the burner primary control where it should be wired to the L1 terminal on the primary. If the burner will not start or stay running you need to check for current on the B1 terminal if the L8124. If you have 110V there then the problem is with the burner primary control or it's wiring.
