running water makes loud moaning sound

Hello everyone. I have recently purchased a house and moved into it in January of this year. Ever since we moved into it the washer would cause a moaning sound whenever another faucet is turned on or toilet was flushed. now just recently (as in today) whenever we turn on a faucet whether it is on the first floor or second floor of the house the moaning is present. This includes all showers and whenever a toilet is flushed. So basically if there is running water the moaning sound is present. Any help you can provide is greatly appreciated!!!!

Thanks,

Nick

My first thought is to check your water pressure. It should be no higher than 80psi (60 - 80 is fine). If it is high have a pressure reducing valve installed by a licenced plumber. You can check your water pressure at a hose bib (faucet).

could be a loose washer somewhere, check that all of your valves are completely open.
