We will be running new PEX supply lines in our basement as part of a new bathroom.
Just wondering which is the best route to go to maintain the highest level of pressure. This is for the shower that will have two mixing valves - one for a hand shower (2.5 GPM flow rate) and the other for a Delta valve/diverter that will supply a rainhead (2.5 GPM) 2 body sprays (2.0 GPM - total) and a fixed head shower (1.75 GPM). The diverter is a 6 way allowing any 2 of the 3 fixtures to be running at the same time.
1) Run two seperate 1/2" tees off the main line (3/4") to supply the 2 different mixing valves; or
2) Run a 3/4" tee off of the main supply line into the shower area (about 10 feet) and then run a 1/2" tee off of that line to the 2 differnet mixing valves.
Any input/suggestions would be appreciated.
