Which Rough-in Shower Valve?

I'm ready to order my Delta rough in valve.....so many choices....

Ok...I know I need the one that uses 1/2" copper....but do I need screw stops?

I need two....shower only...

Any other options I should have?

The advantage to screw stops are that you can turn off the valve for servicing while not affecting the other fixtures. Usually the main needs to be turned off for service.
The disadvantage is that your paying for an option that is only used when you service the valve. With a Delta, that will be a long time from now.

Which Rough-in Shower Valve?

Well....considering that I have a 'real' ball valve at the front of the house for turning off the water....and a ball valve that allows me to shut off just the back side of the house (leaving one bathroom in operation), then I guess I don't need the screw stops....right?

So...the r10000-UNBXHF

This is the one without the tub outlet....shower only....

One of my next posts will be for 'best practices' on how to mount them.

When you go to buy the valve check the price on each valve, one for tub and one for shower. We just bought a Delta valve for our shower and the one without the tub spout was higher than the one with the tub spout and they are exactly the same valve, the bottom hole has to be plugged for the shower.

I was noticing that....

efaucet has both of them at the same price ($28.92)....Amazon has the HF for about $3 more....

On one shower (my shower), we plan to also install a diverter for a hand wand.....I'm assuming that there is no advantage to useing the UNBX in this type of application?
