rough drains in basement

pintojoe I want to make sure I'm not missing something....in your drawing, where the sewer line comes from the right, does it turn and go UP stairs? And does your proposed new vent in green go up and tap into the main stack ABOVE where the vertical waste enters the main stack?

I must be looking at the picture wrong, I don't understand some of the advice given if I have the picture in an incorrect orientation.

rough drains in basement

Our house have everything rough in from the builder at the basement. We just add a washer drain to the same vent stack. and was approved by the inspector by the 2 seconds inspection. Did your house has anything rough in by the builder as well? if not, may be upstairs are right. you got a challenge job in front of you. But I would think if you have the will to do this, besides getting the code from the department, I suggest you buy/borrow a plumbing book from the library. I did that and remember they talked about a lot of these code stuff but kind of forget about it now...
