Rheem Power Vent 2 Water Heater

i have a 2005 Power Vent 2 (41VRP50N) and i my led panel lights blink 4 times.Tells me its a Timeout?. I have no hot water but it is full of water. When i reset unit, the blower on top sounds like its recirculating water and it wont light.

Any thoughts?

From what I can read read in this link, http://canada.rheem.com/content/resources/documents/use_care/CommGasPowerVent.pdf, p. 26, it looks as if your unit is in lockout mode, switch fails to close.

Somehow not enough air is getting to the unit (supply air) or out of the unit (exhaust air). You'll need to check that there are no obstructions, i.e. - junk sitting on top of the tank, spider webs/dust, etc... near the gas valve.

Your first step would be to clean around it to make sure it's getting the air it needs to function properly and check the exhaust pipe for restrictions (inside, near the unit and outside, where it exits the house).

Rheem Power Vent 2 Water Heater

Ok what do you get when you put a 5 year old boy, a hose and a power vent on the outside wall?

A water game! He put the hose in the PVC and filled her up!

Removed the blower drained out the water and its heating up as we speak...
Thanks for you help...

Glad to hear it was a relatively easy fix. Don't be too hard on the little fella, I was a terror too when I was his age.
