I am replacing the faucet in my childrens bathroom and both the shutoff valves are bad. I have done this before so I can handle replacing them. My question is does anybody actually make a decent quality valve to replace it with? I have 5 sinks in my house and so far have replaced 4 of the faucets either for appearance or actual need. Out of those 4 replacement jobs I have yet to do one where I didn't have to replace atleast one of the undersink valves plus I had to replace one for a toilet after using the valve once. Almost all the valves were brasscraft which I understand are supposed to be good but they haven't done well for me. My house is 20 years old and I've been here for 10 so the valves could be potentially 20 years old and all of them were multi turn valves.
So I know to use 1/4 turn valves as replacements but is their a better brand to buy? Thanks in advance.
