replacing old Moentrol single handle shower

Hello

My old single handle Moentrol shower is leaking. Went to Home Depot and they were not very helpful. Had generic cartridge removal tool they werent positive would work and could not tell me which replacement cartridge to get. Attached is a picture of setup . Any advice on what to buy would be appreciated.

Moen Cartridge Puller - How To Use a Moen Cartridge Puller

I don't remember the cartridge number off the top of my head---

Turn off the water---you have stops right at the right and left of the mixer--but that's an old unit--so I would shut down the house rather than risk the old stops malfunctioning.

Pull off the chrome tube over the valve body---remove the brass C clip using a pair of long nose pliers.

Attach the puller==turn the nut until the cartridge is out---some times--if the old one is really stuck--you will need to reset the pulled and slip an open Crescent wrench between the tool and the valve body--

Clean the empty valve body with some fine sand paper---flush out any dirt---lubricate the opening and add your new cartridge---replace the C clip---turn on water and test before you put the handle on--

If hot and cold are reversed--turn the stem 180 degrees.
