Replacing main water supply valve on pvc pipe
We have to replace the main water supply valve going into the house. It is outside. The irrigation system comes directly off it. It creates an S shape on its way to the gang box for the RB system. The real problem is that on the house side the pipe is 1/2" PVC and nearly buried by the sloppy pour job on the slab and the street side going to the RB system is (it appears) is a 3/4" or 1" PVC. The whole thing is extremely tight, occurring in a length of not more than 5”. Fortunately, here in FL it is nearly at the surface. I have replaced a few valves in the past on other homes but this one has thrown me for a loop. Any ideas? If needed I could send a picture, if that will help. Thanks.
