Replacing 2" Copper

Hi All,

In the attached photo, I have a 2" copper vertical mating into cast iron.

I am relocating the sink that was draining into this.

My choices are:

1. Work with the existing copper. Disconnect it all and then resolder it all back together. This will be difficult. I've already tried with the propane torch and it can't get it hot enough to take apart. ( That huge cleanout fitting is sinking all the heat ). I'm sure soldering this big copper pipe is going to be difficult. Any soldering tips for big copper pipe ?

2. Replace the whole thing with PVC. If so, how do I join it to the cast iron bell ?

Ayuh,... I always have better luck reusing that stuff if I cut it out 1st, then unsweat the pieces...
A bottle of Mapp gas will also help...

If ya go PVC,...
Just leave a short copper stub to get a fernco fitting onto, to join 'em up...
