Replace Laundry Faucet

My old laundry faucet is leaking and it's time for a new one. Removing the old one is a problem. I have a couple basin wrenches, but they're too short. It needs to be inserted way up behing the sink and I cannot insert the screwdriver to get enough leverage to turn the wrench. Any ideas?

Got me confused, I've never used a basin wrench with a screwdriver. Are we talking about the same tool?

We are talking about the same tool. I also have this orange basin wrench with notches to grab the nuts. You put a screwdriver throught the bottom of that wrench to use as a handle for leverage.

If I have to remove the laundry tub, I do not see how it is attached to the wall. It has no legs. The house was built in 1976.

Some times you need to remove the sink---

Other times using a drill with a 3/8" bit ,to drill the nuts and then break them with a screw driver is enough.

Wow, Maybe a couple of pics. I did a search on installing laundry tubs and all the instructions I found were leg mounted versions. I can't imagine someone mounting one on the wall without the legs if it wasn't designed for wall mount. BUNCH of weight cantilevered out there if full of water.
May need to resort to oh'Mikes suggestion to drill. You can get drill extenders up to 18" long (that I know of, probably longer) that will take hex shank bits. I've had to do that before, usually on drain cup retaining rings.

That sink is hanging off of a bracket----Use your fist or a rubber mallet and tap it upward and it will lift off the bracket.
