Replace Iron with PVC on DWV cross

Hi!

I am in the process of replacing a single sink in a bathroom with two sinks located about 40 inches apart.
The current drain/vent pipe is steel in good shape, but I need to replace at least the part where the drain and vent connects to the P-pipe with a cross that goes both ways for the sinks.
I was planning on replacing this part with PVC to make it easier.
The pipe is 1.5 inches, will that be enough for the two sinks to come together at?

Thank you!
Fred

Yes 1-1/2" pipe will work.

Thank you Ron!

I'm happy that you say it will work with 1.5 inches, I read somewhere that it required 2 inches for double sinks, but this will make things much easier.
Now I just need to make sure I can get the fitting off from the Steel pipe, I have a feeling it might be really tight.
