Replace Hose bibs

The hose bibs on my house are old and the handle has broken off of the one on the front, it is also out from the brick too far. The hose bib on the back has a very slow leak, just wasting water. How easy is it to replace them. On crawl with copper lines.

Replace Hose bibs

It is just basic plumbing, shut off water, cut, pull out old, sweat in new. How hard depends on how much room you have to work with.

Replace Hose bibs

Here is a good thread to read; How To Solder Copper Pipes

I am not sure if I would start my first project working in a crawl space though. You may want to repair what you have until you have developed your soldering skills. You should be able to purchase a new handle and then replace the washer and seat on the bib that is leaking.
