I have a concrete floor and the toilet flange was very corroded. I was able to remove the metal flange, but the pvc part seems to be glued and wont budge. There were no screws holding the flange down. How do I remove the pvc part so I can replace it with a new flange?
In case anyone was wondering how to get a pvc flange out, heres how. Cut off the top of the flange, stuff a rag down the pipe. once the flange is cut off, use a hammer and chisel to seperate the rest inside the pipe. use sand paper to smooth the inside out after chiseling and insert new flange. I broke my flange while trying to install a new toilet. Called a repairman out and watched him.
