Removing slicone caulking on a hot tub

I have a steady leak coming from the housing for the filter/skimmer on our LifeStyler hot tub. Can't plug it...it just finds another place to leak from. Looks like I'm going to have to remove the old silicone and take the housing apart to check "O" rings and the housing itself. Slicone is all over the threads as well as the housing from years of patching. Any good way to take it off?

Yes McKanica Silicon Caulk Remover in purple tube can be purchased at Ace hardware or True Value not sure which one. It destroys Silicon.

I used it to remove a sink bowl from a vanity it really worked, it still was a tough job.

Good Luck and check out the product on line.
