Removing recently installed shower tile

Yesterday and today, (12/14 and 12/15) a contractor installed 6"x6" porcelain wall tile and grout above a standard bath tub as part of a bathroom rehab project I'm working on. I'm not happy with the centering of the tile and want him to correct it, which would require removing about half of the tile along the 60" wall. How difficult is this for him if I make this request? I'm curious to hear from experienced contractors about this removal so I can get a feel for what I'm dealing with when he tries to change my mind. Thx.

The tile will be unusable. the backer board may need to be replaced also. Is it that bad?

Post a picture--What you want is a major job.
