Removing an old lav faucet

I've done this before, but I've never run into this problem. I'm attempting to remove an old widespread lav faucet, but try as I may, I cannot get either the handles or faucet out. Usually there is a plastic washer that holds the pieces in place, but this is all brass. Everything is loose, but I can't get eh pieces above and below the sink to separate. I've even removed the sink for better access, but nothing...HELP!

Hi and welcome to the forum.

Have you removed the hot/cold handles as well?

Photos always help us help you.

Removing an old lav faucet

Hi Danger Mouse,

Can't remove the faucet, taps or drain, and my photos are too big to upload.

Those remove from the top----the nuts showing in the picture are used to adjust the height of the faucet.

Remove the handles-( usually a screw under a little cap or an Allen set on the side)

Unscrew the Escutcheon under the handle and you will find the top nut that holds that valve body in place.----Mike---
