Removing floor drain

luv2plumb Newbie   Join Date: Jun 2008 Location: Madison, WIsconsin Posts: 2	Removing floor drain I am removing an old stand-up shower and making it into a closet. Can I just use a Fernco to cap the old drain or is there some other way to cap the drain pipe? I'm going to have to cut it off level to the floor and it's cast iron. Any suggestions??? Thanks, J
