Relocating a toilet

How easy is it to relocate a toilet? Let's say we are moving it 3 feet to the right and rotating it 90 degrees.

It could be really easy or impossible. How about grabbing a pic or two of the bathroom in question?

Concrete floor or wood frame?

Open framing under toilet or finished room?

I'll be doing two later this year.
I have complete unhindered access from the full height basement below.
and the joist layout is (mostly) cooperating.

It's still gonna be a PITA.
Wanna come by and help?

Cast iron or PVC?

Wife looked at our future main/master bath project and said 'maybe we could move the toilet here'. I said 'it is on a cast iron flange going into a cast iron stack. I am not touching that.'

Exactly. If it's floor joists underneath and you can just run parallel, easy. If the joists aren't cooperating, difficult.

I will probably be able to post pics Sunday. I'm sure it is a slab on grade but not sure how thick. It'll be a porcelain unit. Pretty much the whole room will be remodeled except the Sheetrock walls and ceiling.

TarheelTerp...any chance you're in the Houston Texas area and not North Carolina....
