Hey guys. Nice to have finally registered on these forums.
My cousin and I are in a bit of a blunder and were hoping for some input.
He purchased a house in 2005 that has a cesspool (18" by 12") in the middle of one of the rooms.
A plumber came by a few months ago to do some stuff, so we asked him about the cellpool and he said that we'd want to eventually relocate it outside. Being the DIYers that we are, we started the project. The thing is, we're not entirely sure of the process.
Here's a top-down view of what we're dealing with:
Here's what we're thinking of doing:
Basically , we want to connect the pipes with a "T" drain where the current cesspool is and cement it in and create a replica of the cesspool on the outside. Is the second diagram (pictured above) the correct way to go about doing such a thing. Also, the cesspool is made of concrete material. Is there a specific type of concrete I would look for in order to make sure water doesn't permeate through the concrete?
Here are also a couple of pictures:
Thank you very much for looking, and thank you in advance for any responses. This will hopefully save us a lot of headache.
