Redundant pipe-work - advice please

The central heating system in my new bungalow was installed many many years ago, the pipe-work consists of a single circuit connecting the radiators which is located in the concrete floor. Ive decided that the system needs upgrading and intend to have new pipe-work running through he loft space and down into each room to connect the radiators.
Im now left with the question of what to do with the existing pipe-work that is in buried in the concrete floor. Should I chase it out and remove it or would it be ok to leave the redundant pipe-work where it is ?
Id appreciate any advice and opinions

I wouldn't worry about it. Just make sure you cut off all water supply and cap them and at floor level I would just cut them off level with the floor and maybe put something in them ( possibly grout or silicon sealer)to level the floor off.

Once the water supply is disconnected, it doesn't matter what you do with them. Cut off and plug at floor level would probably be best for looks. Make sure you install a vent at the highest point to rid the system of air.
If you have never made a mistake, you haven't done much.

Thanks both for your advice. That was the answer that I was hoping for.
