Re-piping to master bath?

Hey all

In planning for my upcoming master bath reno. the better half has decided she may want one of those shower tower panels with the spray jets, etc. ... I'm on a well and after months and months of fine tuning I have gotten my water pressure to an acceptable level. I was talking to a plumber/diy friend and I asked him if I went with the shower tower would i have enough pressure to really get the benefit of it and he told me that alot of people blame low water pressure when in fact they suffer from low water supply when I asked him about a booster pump. He asked what size supply lines run throughout the house (they are 1/2") and he told me that I could pipe a dedicated hot and cold (3/4" or 1") line to that shower and that would solve any water supply problems. He recommended 1" since actually 3/4" is actually what is required now. This guy owns and operates a very reputable and successful plumbing co. in southwest FL so i tend to think he knows what he's talking about, but I always like to ask second or third opinions to see if anyone else has done this and were there any benefits to make the work/cost justifiable.

Thanks in Advance

Thomas

Re-piping to master bath?

He gave you the right advice.
It needs to be larger all the way back to the main supply.
