Is this quote a tad expenive?
The point that you as home owners need to realize is that the plumber is not pocketing what you assume he is. whatever he makes as his actual pay , after all his overhead costs, is no where near what you think he would pocket. there is liability insurance, paying 1 to 2 people on the job, workman's comp, truck/van insurance, taxes, book keeping, cell phones, GAS, tool-upkeep, uniforms, continuing education, etc, etc, etc....he'll be lucky If he even pockets $300 for that job. regardless if it takes a half day, it's still a day that he's scheduled off to be working somewhere....
