question re replacing seats and springs in Delta faucet

My husband and I are trying to replace the seats and springs in a Delta faucet in our bathroom. The faucet has a ball inside and a single handle to turn the water off and on. Once we replace the seats and springs, though, and reassemble everything and turn the water back on, we can hear the water come back on and hear a kind of surge like there is water pressure, but when we turn the faucet back on, water doesn't come out.

Does anyone have any idea what we might be doing incorrectly?

Thanks!

We actually figured it out, but it was definitely a clog.

Thanks again!
