Question Pipe broke in/under slab

I am almost 100% sure i have a leak from our kitchen sink/washer drain to where the main hopper drains probably 6ft accost.
How hard of a job is it? I think i will need.

Concrete saw
hammer drill or chisel and hammer)
Pipe

How hard is it to replace that pipe? and heck how deep you think the pipe is 6" ?

Any pics on this issue would be cool

There are just too many ways that it could have been done. Depths vary, but typically it'll be right under the slab...Typically. Ease of repair also depends on what kind of supply line is under there.

what size should a drain for a washer be?
as i stated it is draining in to a sink line it;s about 2.5 " i think now the line from the sink to main i have no idea..

A clothes washing machine requires a 2" drain. A dishwasher typically taps into the 1-1/2" drain for the sink. You can't bank on either unless and until you get in there to see what you've got.

If you are sure the leak is on a drain line it might be worth the expense to pay someone to camera the line. Although it's not a certainty, if you have a drain leak big enough to be a problem it can often be located with a sewer camera. You may have to cut into the wall to access the pipe but if you're going to have to jackhammer anyway that's not a big deal.

well, it only leaks when the washer is draining..

Where is the water showing up? The reason I suggested a camera is because that would be the best way to find out where you need to jackhammer. I know you said the line is only 6' from the main drain, but are you sure the leak is in the 6' section? If so, skip the camera, rent an electric jackhammer and have fun.
