PVC supply line for sprinkler system
I plan on installing an automatic sprinkler system. I have a 5/8" water meter that then goes into a 3/4" brass elbow and then to 1 inch PEX tubing for the water supply to the house.
I plan on having a plumber come in and install a tee fitting and valve for me even though I'm confident I could sweat whatever I needed. My question is, can I run 3/4" PVC from the back-flow preventer to the sprinkler valve manifold? The distance of the run would probably be around 20ft and it is in my basement until it goes outside to the manifold. Just curious if 3/4" PVC would be acceptable or if it should be 3/4" copper pipe. |

PVC supply line for sprinkler system
I have heard on this forum from people that PVC shouldn't be used inside. When we installed the system for my parents, we used 1" copper untill it left the house, then we converted to pvc before going into the ground to the valve box. After the valves, we used 1" black poly.
