Putting in a Bar sink- next to stack.

I want to put a bar sink into my basement. Hence, I want to cut into the main drain stack-pvc. I was thinking that I could use a 1.25 or 1.50 /-4" Y etc. My next concern is the stench even with a P trap.
Thanks

D

That is what a ptrap is for, but you have to protect it with a vent to keep it from siphoning

Thanks. Since this is in the basement and everything else adjacent to stack and up 1 and 2 stories is already vented.

I must create a seperate vent??

Thanks again
