I would try PVC cleaner, I doubt though you'll ever get it all off.

Purple Primer everywhere??!!!

If you find anything that removes it, let us all know. This primer actually starts a chemical action so the pipe and fitting are basically welded together with the glue. I have found nothing that will remove it.

That purple PVC primer/cleaner can be scrubbed off of some things (like your hands) IF it is scrubbed off while still wet.
Once it dries, it's purple forever. LOL
I suppose that it could be sanded off with fine grit sandpaper, if someone really felt the urge.

Paint over it. PVC is not sunlight resistant and the new paint will help it last.
