Propane lines in an RV...Flare Fittings

I'm doing a van conversion that involves plumbing for LP gas. I'm having trouble with my flare fittings. My trouble comes when I try to hook up my copper pipe to my appliances. I have soft copper tubing coming off my shut off and running to my appliances (stove and fridge). When I hook up the flare fitting at my appliance it seems to go together ok, but when I leak test with soap and water I have a slight leak. I am NOT using tefflon tape or pipe dope on the flare fittings.

Any tips, tricks, insight into how to install flare fittings would be appreciated.

Try using a piece of emery cloth on the face of the flared copper. Sometimes the flaring tool will leave a ridge on the end. Doesn't take much to cause a leak since it is a metal to metal connection.

Problem was I was flaring my copper tubing too much.
