Problems Removing Tub Drain
I have a one piece tub/shower unit in my bathroom. As you can tell from my picture my drain is corroded. I figured easy fix, I would buy another Lift N Turn bathroom trim kit from Home Depot. I also bought the Tub Drain Removal Tool. Figured it would make it easier.
Problem is I can not remove the drain shoe (I think that is what it's called the metal piece you still see in the photo zoomed in). I tried using that tool with a wrench would not move. Used a screw driver, no movement. Even tried the screw driver and used a hammer hitting the screw driver to try to get it to move. It has not moved at all and I am afraid I will break it even more. One of the four crosses are already not connected. The others are pretty thin. I am trying to turn it counterclockwise.
Any suggestions on what else can be done? I am not a highly skilled DIY person but I can follow instructions. Trying to do whatever I can so I don't need to call a plumber.
Guess another question is does this one piece drain even removable? I would assume so because not sure how else they could connect it.
Thanks for any help you can provide.
