and for the record, and incase your reading comprehension is just as sharp as your personality, I never said that tankless is so much better than anything.

I am not pretending anything, you are shop talking. I am a true diy, thus I have no idea what half of your threads meant, thus you are obvioulsy not using this diy forum as it is intended.

Add to that that you are patronizing my "little world". All I am trying to do is find the best solution for my family with a limited income. If that is a little world than I guess I should apologize for waisting your precious time with my "silly thread".

Actually, I would prefer you would stop waisting my time by posting on a thread that you have no intention of helping on. And, thanks for being a jerk.

Well, you're not really DIY if you aren't the one doing the work (remember, you said that a plumber gave a price and all...?) If one were actually wanting and answer to the questions you asked, my first post was all the "help" you needed. But if you don't understand something, don't start disrespecting the "shop talkers" when they are just simply answering the question that you asked. I guess what i'm trying to say is, if you didn't understand the answer, don't get mad at the person who answered.... read a book.
And if you are on a "limited income" why go power vented anyway? Why not go with a natural draft vent water heater?

I'm on my second Bradford White high efficiency (piped intake and exhaust air) and very happy with them. First was replaced at 17 years with no issues but wanted to take advantage of tax credits before it started to leak (17 yrs is a long time for a wh IMO).
